St. Lawrence Valley Paddler's Awards
The 2025 SLVP Awards Ceremony was held at Sergi's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria in Canton on October 8th.​

The "Rockies" Most Improved is given to a paddler who has shown substantial improvement in technique over the paddling season. The 2025 award was given to SLVP member Tony Gianfagna who competed in three SLVP sponsored races in a C-1 in 2025, paddled in the C-2 Amateur division in Canton Canoe Weekend with his brother, Chip, and C-1 Stock in the Adirondack Canoe Classic, the '90-Miler'.

The "Rockies" Rookie of the Year is given to a paddler who has shown substantial improvement in technique over the paddling season. The 2025 award was given to SLVP member Dan French who began racing in 2024, participated in several SLVP Wednesday evening scrambles, and organized a C-4 Stock team to compete in the Adirondack Canoe Classic, the '90-Miler'.
Buzz Lightyear 'To Infinity and Beyond' is awarded to a SLVP member who has traveled the farthest to compete in a race during the year. The 2025 award goes to Dylan Kirk for the "ThruDark" race, 125 miles, 77 portages from Devizes to Westminster, UK. Dylan and his partner, Andy Hall, were winners of the Canadian Trophy - fastest crew paddling a C-2 Canadian Canoe with single bladed paddles. They paddled a GRB Newman Designs canoe.​
