The mission of New York Paddlesports Racing Association is to promote the growth and adoption of paddlesports in New York State, while embodying excellence in sportsmanship and fair play. We are an all-inclusive group, welcoming Paddle Boards, Kayaks, Canoes, and any other human powered craft to participate in NYPRA sanctioned events. NYPRA strives to provide and support well-organized events to ensure the smooth, timely, safe and accessible operation of on-water competitions. NYPRA acts as a facilitator and liaison between various United States paddlesport governing bodies, including the United States Canoe Association, American Canoe Association, Michigan Canoe Racing Association, Canot Marathon du Quebec, New England Canoe and Kayak Racing Association, among others.

The New England Canoe and Kayak Racing Association is an organization run by volunteers, dedicated to advancing the sport of canoe and kayak racing for paddlers of all skill levels. NECKRA seeks to support established and successful community boating programs to facilitate awareness of and interest in marathon and downriver racing.

 The purpose of PACK:  

 

  • to promote the sport of recreational canoeing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  

  • to act as a unifying organization for those interested in canoeing and kayaking in Pennsylvania.  

  • to act as a source of expertise for this sport in Pennsylvania.

  • to act as a coordinating body for information of canoeing and kayaking activities in Pennsylvania.  

  • to promote marathon canoe and kayak racing in Pennsylvania.  

  • to encourage continuing educational efforts in canoe and kayak water safety in Pennsylvania.

Winding down the magnificent Mauricie region, the St. Maurice River has been the theater of the Classique internationale de canots since 1934. During 4 days of cultural and sporting activities, over 70,000 visitors come to watch the athletes take on this legendary river, in a 200 km race, with 3 legs from La Tuque to Trois-Rivières.
