Little River Ramble

On the Little River in Canton, NY next to the campus of St. Lawrence University
Start and finish race from the Little River Boat Launch next to the Park Street & Canton Pyrites Rd. bridge, Canton NY
Registration 12:00-1:00 First Start is at 1:00
College and Recreational Race about 2 miles
Kayak and Marathon Class about 6 miles

Classes will be decided on race day.  No Pro Class and there will be a separate college class.

(2:00 Awards)
Teams of 4-6 paddlers take turns on the 1, 3/4 & 1/2 mile legs of the relay. Separate classes for men, women, mixed, family, high school & college student teams. Recreational canoes only. Special WarCanoe/Voyager, Stock & Kayak classes
NEW College teams must be co-ed & have 6 paddlers

SLVP Scramble Series

Wednesdays April 21- September
Informal club practice on the Little River, Racquette River & Grasse River
NOTE: New law requires PFD's to be worn by all from Dec 1-May 1

SLVP Duathlon Series

3rd Wednesday: June 16. July 14, August 18
Start time is 5:30pm. The race is located by the Little River Boat Launch off park street in Canton. It is free for all participants and all are welcome. Both canoes and kayaks are allowed and can consist of one or two paddlers. There is also a good chance that participants in need of a runner or paddler will be able to find someone at the event on race night. The race constists of one paddling leg of approximately 2 miles and two running legs that are about a 1 1/4 miles each. Total race time varied between 28-41 minutes depending on ability.

COMMON RACE INFORMATION FOR ALL SLVP RACES

Register at the race site up to 15 minutes before the race start. To be more thoroughly prepared for your race and to help the race organizers, you should register as soon as you arrive (about 1 hour before race start). Pre registration is accepted for the Canton & Madrid races only, please include signed waiver(s) if pre-registering.

Insurance waivers must be signed at registration by all participants.
Paddlers below the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them.

SLVP has a NO ALCOHOL policy before or during any events.

SLVP promotes young paddlers by keeping entry fees ($5) at below cost for high school students and younger participants.

SLVP is a Not-For-Profit organization with a Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
It is a total volunteer organization, please consider volunteering your time to promote local paddlesport.
