Picture from the train trestle: Lead pack of C-2Pro after 3/4 mile

Small contingent of recreational paddlers just off the start at the Madrid Community Park.
Michael Littlejohn of Kings Ferry NY prepares to portage his unlimited class kayak after the first 6 miles on the water. After the 1/4 mile portage he'll paddle the remaining 3 miles for the fastest time of the day.
C-1 and C-2 amateur marathon racers approach the portage.

After years of serving the canoe racing public, June and Jim Genkos of J&J Canoes have folded up their trailer and display tables. We thank them for all they did for paddlers and they way greeted and served us all.
