SLVP
SLVP is a not-for-profit club formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1994 and is open to anyone with an interest in paddlesport. The club is an active force in the development and promotion of canoe and kayak racing in the St. Lawrence Valley and the region.

SLVP Goals:
To promote the use of waterways in St. Lawrence County.
To promote all types of paddling on both flatwater and whitewater.
To promote the sport of canoe and kayak racing at all levels.

SLVP Board of Directors Action 2/6/08
*NYMCTA names Canton & Madrid as points races.
*Decision to apply for USCA 2010 Nationals
*New race planned for Potsdam site, Steve Coffin will Chair that event.
*The 2008 OPA will be mailed after the NYMCRA calendar is published
*Active and past military will receive entry fee discount (see below).

* BoD excited about new format for some Wednesday club paddles, a Run-Canoe Duathlon. More information here and in the local papers when the schedule is finalized.
